FESAT has made a commitment to engage in the support of The European Action on Drugs

On the 26th of June 2009, FESAT along with several other partners from all across Europe made a commitment to engage in the support of The European Action on Drugs (EAD).

The spirit of the EAD is closely related to FESAT’s own ethical charter. Therefore FESAT will actively promote the EAD, encourage all participants to commit and get involved as well as further promote the EAD in their daily drug helpline work. All related publications will of course bear reference to the EAD. Moreover, we will continue our work on developing co-operation between drug helplines, to facilitate the exchange of experience in order to promote best practice, to search solutions to common problems, to offer training and exchange sessions, to improve the quality of information, help and prevention services. These will include activities such as monitoring and evaluation data from drug helpline calls and on-line answers; holding conferences, and training sessions; organizing staff learning visits; producing resource materials on best practice for drug helplines.
